Reminder: Folio Albums Studio Software is expiring on 25th March 2016

Since we announced in October the retirement of our downloadable design software on 25th March 2016, time has flown by and it’s nearly time to say goodbye!

As much as we like the simple functionality of the software, unfortunately it has proven limiting in functionality when it comes to creating new products and services we would like to deliver to you.

With this in mind, last year we invested in and launched a web based album designer, specifically created to facilitate painless album design along with cloud based services such as client proofing. We’re convinced that online software solutions allow us to better serve your needs. They also have greater potential to bring you new service features, so if there is anything you would like to see in our new designer to help you, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

You will of course, still be able to use your own software of choice for the Fine Art Books. However, below is a quick tutorial on our online designer to help get to grips with its features.

If you’re still currently using the Folio Albums Studio Software, don’t worry we wont leave anyone in the lurch with their designs…

What if I’m half way through a design?

Please don’t worry. We won’t leave anyone with a half finished album and we would hate to see any hard work go to waste. You can export the partially completed design before 25th March 2016 and get in touch with us. We can convert those spreads which can then be uploaded to the online designer as single spread layouts. The design can then be continued using the online designer.

If anything happens past this date we will do everything to help out. You will still be able to access the Studio Software and view the proofs, simply send us the proofs and we will recreate the design in our online designer for free.

Can I freestyle a design with the online designer?

Not yet. We have crafted over 600 templates allowing huge flexibility in designs. If something is missing, just let us know and we can work with you to provide the options you need.

How do I access the online designer?

Log into the shop at https://www.folioalbums.com/shop/ and then click the link to the Album Designer in the shop menu.

Do you have a step-by-step guide or short introduction video for the online designer?

Yes, we have both.
