This week’s Folio Friday Foto comes from Chris Turner’s latest client album.

This image is used as the opening spread of the album, and it helps to start the design in style. Winter weddings are notoriously tricky to shoot – and due to the snow this wedding almost didn’t happen – but the show must go on!

This image is a perfect winter wedding shot. The soft background tones of the building and greenery, alongside the snow-covered surrounds, all add to the atmosphere of this intimate and romantic shot (and the bare-shouldered bride braving the falling snow definitely paid off given the resulting image). Through using the photograph across a full spread, this hero shot is shown off in style whilst also proving a wonderful image to start off the album – a sense of magic and intimacy is created from the very first page turn. This shot shows that although winter weddings are challenging from a photography perspective – the hard work does pay off, and it provides the couple with some fantastic images to preserve their day.

So, whilst we’re all gearing up for the summer photographic season – here’s an image to kick-start a weekend of any winter wedding post-production/album design that you may have to do:
